We grow the
ecosystem we build in.

Good engineering in Rwanda needs more engineers. Our team invests in the people coming up behind us.

Why we do it

Talent is the constraint

The hard part of building world-class technology in an emerging market is not the technology. It is the depth of the talent pool around you.

So we put time back into it. Our founders came up through the programs that train and connect engineers across Africa, and we keep showing up for the next generation, through mentoring, talks, and writing that shares what we have learned in production.

Where we have been involved

Programs and communities

Andela

Members of our team came through Andela, the pan-African program that trains and connects software engineers with global companies. It shaped how we hire, mentor, and hold a standard.

Progate Rwanda

We have supported Progate Rwanda, which helps beginners in Rwanda learn to code from the ground up. Getting more people to their first program is how the pipeline starts.

Google Developer Student Clubs

Our founders have been part of Google Developer Student Clubs (now Google Developer Groups on Campus), running and speaking at sessions that bring student engineers into real-world practice.

How we show up

Mentoring, talks, and writing

01

Mentoring

We mentor engineers moving from learning to shipping, the gap that classrooms rarely close.

02

Talks

We speak at community events on what it takes to run real systems in production here.

03

Writing

We publish what we learn, openly, so the next team does not start from zero. Read our articles.
